An artist of remarkable distinction, Thota
Vaikuntam was born in 1942 in Karimnagar
district within the undivided state of
Andhra Pradesh. In 1970, he completed
his Diploma in Painting at the College of
Fine Arts and Architecture, Hyderabad, a
pivotal step that laid the foundation for
his illustrious career. Deeply rooted in his
native soil, Vaikuntam’s artistic wellspring
draws inspiration from rustic landscapes
and the life of Telangana, his birthplace.

Vaikuntam’s unparalleled expertise
