Inspired by tribal art and detailed craftsmanship, the
works of C D Mistry reflect his deep passion for artistic
storytelling. A passionate traveller who explored several
countries, Mistry also drew creative inspiration from
his numerous journeys. His contributions to Indian
art earned him over 24 national and state awards and
numerous solo and group exhibitions of his works have
been held across the country.
The presented lot depicts a peacock-like figure in
brilliant hues of orange, red, blue, and purple and
the composition is accentuated by intricate, flowing
lines. The peacock appears to interact with a human-
like figure on the right. The background is a luminous
turquoise blue with abstract foliage in soft yellow, adding
a naturalistic contrast to the fantastical elements.
