This lot is in the process of being registered as an
antique with the Government of India, under the
Antiquities and Art Treasures Act -1972, under
Antiquities and Art Treasures Rule 1973, under
section 16 of the above act, with the Archaeological
Survey of India (ASI)

The presented lot titled ‘Kwei-Lin China,’ captures
the stunning beauty of the mountainous terrain in
Kweilin, now known as Guilin, situated in the Guangxi
Zhuangzu in the northeast of China. Guilin has long
been celebrated for its captivating karst landscapes
and served as a crucial hub between China’s
central government and its southwest border during
World War II, playing a significant role in military,
transportation, and cultural affairs.
