Born in Karnataka, India in 1971, L N Tallur currently lives
and works between Bengaluru and Seoul. He completed
his BFA in Painting from Chamarajendra Academy of
Visual Arts, graduating in 1996. He also completed his
MFA in Museology from Maharaja Sayajirao (1998) and
a MA in contemporary Fine Art Practice from Leeds
Metropolitan University in 2002.

Tallur’s works mostly consist of sculptures, interactive
work and site-specific installations. As a conceptual
artist, he uses these varied forms of artistic platforms
to comment on the absurdities of the mundane life and
limitless anxieties that go hand in hand in characterizing
contemporary society. His incorporation of organic
materials to implore this aspect often creates a correlation
between traditional and contemporary customs.
