Born in 1959 in Tamluk, West Bengal,
Paresh Maity is a celebrated Indian artist
known for his mastery of watercolours.
He studied at the Government College
of Art & Craft in Kolkata and later earned
his M.F.A. from the Delhi College of Arts.
Maity's work is heavily inspired by nature,
and his extensive travels across India and
the world serve as a constant source of
inspiration for his art.
Throughout his career, Maity has exhibited
his works in more than 80 exhibitions,
both in India and internationally. His
exceptional contributions to Indian art
were recognised in 2014 when he was
honoured with the prestigious Padma
Shri by the Government of India.
