 The presented lot exemplifies the meditative quality   strokes and energetic brush gestures. Divided into two
 that defines Ram Kumar’s canvases. By this stage of   primary colour fields, the lower half, dominated by earthy
 his  career,  he  had  transcended  the  formal  influences   rust-reds and browns, evokes rugged terrain through
 of his early training. Yet, the layered application of paint   bold, textured brushwork. In contrast, the upper section
 and fragmented colours in this piece subtly echo the   transitions to cooler, pale green tones, resembling a
 modernist principles that shaped his early work. The   sky, with angular, dark strokes suggesting abstracted
