               K K Hebbar’s treasured motif, the majestic peacock








                    The presented
               artwork was painted
                by Hebbar in 1965,
                   and hung above
                 the dining table in
                 his Mumbai home.
                 Here, artist Rekha
                    Rao, Hebbar’s
                   daughter, poses
                  with the painting





























                                     The painting was acquired
                                    by the family of Mridula and
                                       Raghunandan (Nandan)
                                   Maluste. In fact, Mrs. Kusum
                                     Maluste, Nandan’s mother
                                   (pictured above and left with
                                       Hebbar), was the artist’s
                                     student at JJ School of Art
                                                  in Mumbai
